Cracking game at Carmuirs today. Main talking point is of course Graham McLaren's 4 goals...superb effort and he even had a hand in the other two goals. His 30 yard volley at the start of the second half was a wonder strike and seemed to knock the stuffing out of Harthill.
Will be interesting to see is any 2nd/3rd division clubs start taking a look at McLaren. He was of course a right back in his Shire days but since moving up front he has used his pace to become a real handful for defenders.

Hate to say it but again all respect to the lower division opposition, they had us well under the cosh in the first half. We had a few strange moments today.
I felt as though at the start of the game we were to cocksure of ourselves, the last few games against lower league opposition , Haddington and Dalkeith, we find ourselves being run ragged. We are not invincible and these teams have certainly brought a game to us.
I felt Kenny had a bad game today, redeemed himself a couple of times but looked well of pace and almost always out of position.
Good to see Bryan Bell back out playing. Mr McLaren's brace of goals were quite stunning. Barry and Graeme seem to play well together and with Jamie there seems to be a lot of potential up front, but our midfield today were all over the shop. This seems about normal.
We must attack from the start but it seems we only lift our game when we are a goal behind or severely under pressure. The result was good today but for a while it looked liked Harthill were right back at us and might sneak at least a draw.

Camelon will gather strength from this run of cup ties and I welcome Kevin Byle as a very useful addition to the squad. It will make things tough to get a starting place but if we have a fully fit squad there must be some amount of team combinations that will work well.We are not exactly performing to the best of our ability yet,but you can see whats there at times when our passing game gets going. In my opinion I thought big Stuart Cringean assisted the forwards with great runs through from the midfield when he plays there, A switch inside now and then will pay dividends, but it is swings and roundabouts, and as long as we are winning you can hardly complain.
