A good result for us today, I have to agree with David Barclay as man of the match as decided by the Webmaster. I thought in the second half we allowed Kirkcaldy to much possesion. When we were 2-0 up, our manager decided to shore up by taking off Martin Mooney who for me was winning most of the challenges in midfield, after he was replaced we seemed to lose our shape somewhat. As often happens we go from having a decent lead we end up looking like the poorer squad. I thought we were going to score a barrow load of goals from the off today, but somehow it didn't materialise but we did run out winners. Barry Thomson seems to have adopted a midfield role which leaves him having to run back forward to keep up when Graeme makes a run.. Has anyone else noticed this.
We got the win and are into the next round. Well done to all. Happy days....

have to disagree on Mooney passing didn't come up to his usual standard but the conditions didn't help him. Didn't think he showed the form of before he picked up that injury but Barclay would have been my man of the match as well. He had an excellent game AGAIN.

Barrys knee was believed to still be a slight problem, although he was running a lot more freely on saturday. The conditions suited Davy to a tee,and he well deserved the man of the match award,Our goals for tally could have been greater but in these conditions we are all glad of the result. On another day when things go for you it would have been a lot easier.Kirkaldy's number ten was a powerhouse in the air and if we have to strengthen a similar type would be welcome in my view, particularly on heavy grounds and in cup ties.On saying that I hope we can keep the current squad together a while yet, as we have to be proud of their contribution this year.
